What, Who and Why
Join international artist Kiel Johnson at an extraordinary Christchurch venue for a one-of-a-kind workshop to create a very special artwork.
Build your own model buildings and add to a three-dimensional, physical model of our city, by our people. If buildings aren’t your thing, build a car, or a Loch Ness monster. The workshop is free and requires no special skills or expertise; there is no need to register and all materials will be provided. Hours are Sunday 12-5 and Monday 11-7, but there are no set session times.
In addition to the awesomeness of Kiel himself, participants can expect a friendly, supportive environment, a team of trained volunteers on hand to help with building techniques, and a stunning backdrop: the workshop’s venue is the top floor of The Press building, overlooking Cathedral Square, New Regent Street, and the site of the former Newstalk ZB building.
